Halloween has come and gone. With the closing of the tradational place we got pumpkins at (Lombardi Ranch) I ended up just getting one at the grocery store. We had a fair number of kids, although some of them did not look like they were from the neighborhood. I puzzled over that until I read somewhere about parents from 'bad' neighborhoods taking their kids to 'good' areas to trick-or-treat. I don't have a problem with that was long as everyone is well behaved, which they were. We also made sure to get candy that I don't like, so I wouldn't be tempted.
At the reccomendation of the dentist, I consulted with an oral surgeon about getting some teeth removed in the back. My bottom wisdom teeth are so badly impacted that they damaged the roots of the neighboring tooth, killing it. However, when they took x-rays (a nifty machine that does a complete shot of the mouth in one go.) it turns out that the bottom wisdom teeth are SO badly impacted, and buried so deep within the bone, that it would require a major procedure to remove them. It would also carry the risk of nerve damage to the bottom part of my face. So I will probably have the two damaged molars removed, but not the wisdom teeth themselves. Procedure scheduled for the end of this month. (oh boy!)
Beyond some rain we had last week, weather has been unseasonably warm (80's).
