Mystery Book
Somehow I ended up with a book on my Kindle that I didn't buy.
Amazon says I bought it, but the purchase doesn't show up on PayPal. It's not a bad book or anything (not porn or something wildly weird) but it's not something I'd get on my own, either. It's vaugly possible I accidently clicked on the 'buy' button while brousing Amazon, but I don't remember even looking at this book. And if I did, why doesn't the order show up on PayPal? I suppose I could get a refund on it, or at least try to.
In any event, while browsing Amazon last night I found that there is a 3rd "Book of the Dun Cow" volume. That, I did get. Now what's really odd, is that the author apparently heavily revised and re-edited the first two volumes before re-releasing them, and even re-titled the second book (from Book of Sorrows to Book of the Dun Cow: Lamentations.) Have no clue why he did that. Maybe lingering guilt over the 'fuck you' that Book of Sorrows was to his readers? Who knows? My next book was going to be the new Hugh Howey novel The Shell Collector, but I may push that back to get this book read first, so I can include it in the yearly book review summary.
