Kickstarter ended Saturday. We just sqeaked by the stretch goal of interior illustrations, so thanks to all!
A wonderful combination of brutal heat and humidity from a hurricaine to the south of us made most of last week utterly miserable.
Been doing gardening for a friend the last couple of days. I don't think I've ever seen so many Argentine ants in my life. Every single pot seems to have a nest in it. A combination of nasty heat and water = ant explosion. We've been having some ant problems here too, but not nearly as bad because of no sprinklers. I still have to squish the stray scout that gets inside, however.
I must say I'm growing dissipointed with the Under the Dome series. While i can handle some suspension of disbelief, last night's episode had some issues. It's supposed to be so cold it's lethal to be outside, but nobody seems to have fogging breath. Then it gets warm again, all the vegitation looks perfectly fine. I know from seeing what frosts do to plants here, they don't look perfectly fine the next day. Someone's not doing their research here!
Currently working on commissions, as per usual, but I hope to have a little free time when I'm done to finish two projects that have been sitting on the back burner forever.
After having been the only person in the Western Hemisphere that hadn't seen Frozen, I finally saw it last week. I guess I'm not the target audience, because I was very 'meh.' It was just too girly for me, and I kept thinking about practical things...like..where is she going to get her food and clothes from in the ice castle? And a bed made of ice couldn't be very comfortable.
