In memoriam
For my aunt, Sister Regina of the Sisters of Saint Mary, who a few days ago. She was a woman of dedication and love. Although I certainly did not always agree with her, I certainly admired her dedication and the life she lived of service. A song in her memory, sung from the infinite to her:Parents
My mom is home from the hospital and doing all right. She's having physical therapy of course to help her get back on her feet, literally. My dad has been put on a heart monitor because the atrial fibrillation has not gotten any better. My mom fell yesterday and broke her femur. Evidently it is not as bad as it could have been as they only had to put in a rod and not something more drastic. Also, she got in for surgery at least a day earlier than expected so things should start healing in the right way right away ( Read more... )think good thoughts
My dad is going into the hospital today with an irregular heartbeat. He's 88 and never been hospitalized that I know of. Please send your good thoughts and prayers to him. I was not planning on visiting any time soon since I just saw the family in August, but I think I will stop over after a business trip next week if I can arrange it ( Read more... )birthday and holiday goodness
My rather large family came together over Christmas in St. Louis to celebrate not only the hoildays this year, but also my birthday.

Life's been busy of late so I'm a bit behind on posting. At the end of March I took a vacation and stopped in St. Louis to see family along the way. My mom seems to be recovering well from her broken pelvis. When I saw her, she had just been given the okay to start walking with a walker. Now, she is walking some with a cane. My Mom seems to be recovering well, although the Medicare insurance has been fun for my sisters to deal with, evidently. When my Mom went into the rehab center, she was told she'd be there about a month...well, she was a told a few days ago that she'd be going home by Friday.
