my post from yesterday that i was unable to post
i love 3 day weekends. they are the definition of everything that is good... mainly because they provide one with so much time to be productive, yet absolutely nothing gets done. that is why its almost 11 on monday night and i have still not completed my homework. not only is it not finished .. but it is never going to be finished .. because i just dont want to do it. of course, 9 wks tests start tomorrow .. but studying seems so unappealing. yes .. procrastination has kicked into its highest gear.
lets see... things i could have done this weekend:
my homework
start college application (thats right i still havent started)
get things together for recommendations
figure out who to get recommendations from
start studying for 9 weeks tests
search for scholarship info
etc. etc. etc. ...
however, i decided to spend the weekend the best way i could think of .. which of course, involved none of those things.
friday was spent studying for SAT II's .. or should i say trying to study. this of course was a noble attempt at productivity .. but proved to be a complete waste of time.
saturday i woke up nice and early to take SATs ... which were horrible. stupid writing... what kind of a prompt is, "a great decision was made when _______"??? its the kind of prompt that takes 15 min. to come up w/ something to write about, leaving one with NOT ENOUGH TIME to finish. AHHHH. but ive concluded that these scores will not solely ensure my doom... hopefully. anyway, saturday night was very interesting, and funny ... but i will not expand on that for fear of compromising my alibi.
sunday i went shopping with my mommie for a homecoming dress... which was to no avail... i STILL do not have a homecoming dress. i did however buy this really gorgeous red dress .. wayyy too pretty for homecoming. not exactly sure what i will where it to .. prom maybe? but ya.. that night i went out with caleb, which is always nice. we only had the slight set back of locking the keys in the car... but that got us FREE DESSERT!! theres nothing better than free pie! the people at pappas are so nice.. i think thats my new favorite restaurant.
monday was absolutely wonderful. i did only minimal amounts of homework and didnt leave the house at all.. except to get breakfast. staying in your pajamas all day is definitely the life.
BUT, the best part of this 3 day weekend is knowing that another one follows. thats right.. i only have to go to school 3 days this week.. technically 2 1/2 because of PSATs. this is because on friday my parents and i are leaving to visit my brother at berkeley. wootwoot! the only downside is that our returning flight lands at like 630am monday morning .. and apparently i have to go to school. but whatever .. no school for me on friday!
