Veronica's Apartment - DC - All Day

Today was Veronica's 21st birthday.

And she was spending it, alone, in her apartment in DC. Her bosses had given her the day off, which she appreciated, but she was definitely missing her friends.

Oh, sure, she could have gone out for her first legal drink with some of her co-workers, but that somehow wasn't the same.

"Hannah's House of Hookers, How may I service you?"

Confusing Angel was like shooting fish in a barrel and, yet, Veronica couldn't resist.

"Logan!" Angel immediately shouted to wherever in the Hyperion Logan was. "Stop screwing around with the phones!"

Veronica burst out laughing. "Is there a reason why Logan would think you needed a hooker?"

"Veronica?" Angel asked, just to be on the safe side. "Is that you?"

[marsheadtilt]

"Yes, Angel, it's me," Veronica said, still laughing.

"...I knew that?"

[marsheadtilt]

"Of course you did. What's up?"

"Hopefully not your hooking."

[marsheadtilt]

"Pretty sure the FBI would frown upon that."

Wow, she hoped they didn't have her phone tapped.

"Could be undercover," Angel pointed out.

[marsheadtilt]

"Yeah... they don't let interns do the cool stuff," Veronica said.

"They have you go undercover with the boring jobs?"

[marsheadtilt]

"No, we don't get to go undercover at all," Veronica said. "We do research and filing and other stuff."

"Sounds fun," Angel said, deadpan.

[marsheadtilt]

"It's actually interesting a lot of the time. But the excitement factor is definitely lacking. Although, they are teaching me how to use a gun."
