A good weekend

I finally got a weekend off! On Friday I went to PITT CARES, PSU's orientation and enrollment, it was a little boring but it got me excited about starting college, I can't wait to find out who my roomate is! Then I went out with Whitney and Josh and the not as cool Marshall to meet up with Matt and Brandi, Funtastique!
Saturday kicked ass! I went with Theo, E, Keen and her boyfriend William to K.C., well Keen and young william went to Worlds of Fun. But the Hip people went shopping, and for once I went to a part of K.C. that wasn't Overland Park or the Plaza, we spent most of our time in Westport which is totally hip. We went to this swank store called Imagery and the sales person was totally hitting on me! Then we went to this awesome Indian Bistro called Korma Sutra (no it's not a typo, Korma is a bitching indian dish). The service was excellent and the decor was a mix of folk art and modern decor, but the real treat was the food, the cost for a lunch buffet is about $10, which I know sounds way to expensive but dig this: Along with all the indian cuisine you can eat you also get mango milkshakes with unlimited refills and a mug of chai tea for dessert. I don't have the address for Korma Sutra, but I do have th address for imagery, which is right next to it; 4117 Pennsylvania St. Kansas City MO 64111.
After dinner, with our stomachs full and our wallets somwhat empty we check ed out some other shops; Bunker ("Pauper clothes at Prince Prices" thank you theo), Arizona Trading Company ( A hip re-sale shop with awesome clothes, hand made necklaces, and bitching collages. Go there, its worth it), a some music store that had a great collection of stuff, but lacked air conditioning, and a hippie store where you could buy any issue of "High Times" magazine.
After our hip shopping experiences we went to s very beautiful grocery store and bought some food to eat fot Theater in The Park (TITP) fo those in the know. TTIP was awesome, we watched "Seussical the Musical" which, while childish, provided some very good entertainment. The actors were great, especially Ben Gulley (too bad his name's not Vern) who played Horton, and Catie who played Mazie La Bird (she went to prom with Derek, so we went to see seussical for her. Guess what she's in next, Debbie Does Dallas the Musical! She plays debbie!) I also thought the Sour Kangaroo should have gotten a bigger part (especially with her little kangaroo) Unfortunately there was a rather tall woman in front of us and these people who sat in a double chair and would keep getting in and out of there seats, blocking our view. Grrrr! I don't mind the tall lady, it's not like she could help it, but come on, even when the theatre is outdoors it's still rude to get up during a performance. So now I've had a rather nice weekend and am totally not looking foward to going to work today!
