Good grief, what a glorious ride!

He could see it in his mind -the venomous look, the look that would destroy him.
My poor, damaged baby!

“So now we come back to sex, right? “
OK, so maybe I just smiled with perverse pleasure at the indication of a less-than-stellar sex life.

Luke could feel his whole body shaking. He curled his head to his legs, and rocked back and forth. The air felt too fragile to breathe.
Aaaaah! What are you doing to my chest? And that last line!

Reid slowly crouched down to his level.
“But he did, right? That asshole you dated? He hit you.”
LOVE YOU REID. Because he's just that good.

“I don’t normally do this,” Reid’s voice sounded pained.
“What?” Luke asked almost numbly.
“This,” Reid said. He opened his arms widely.
And now somehow I love you EVEN MORE.

Reid was nodding his head again. “I get it.”
And he does. And it's all he needs to say. Beautiful.

Luke skimmed the top of Reid’s upper lip, then the lower one, then back inside.
Niice.

“I love you!” Luke shouted. “I love you!”
*GASP*

So many unspoken words just hovered in the air between them. There was a long pause
Aaaaah! You're doing it again!

No more.
*CHEERS*

“Luciano,” Damian complained as he put back one of his Speedos, “Sometimes, you are so American.”
HA!

Can't wait for dinner!

Thanks so much! I really appreciate it. It is always fun to see what lines impact somebody.

BTW, it was funny to read that you were nervous to be in Reid's POV and that was why you kept him silent. I was nervous here to not jump into his head. Reid is not a verbal guy and not prone to showing much on the surface...I worried that his growing feelings might not be clear. In the end, I am glad I challenged myself ...well, actually rhinannonhero challenged me to do it this way lol!

Dinner is still one more chapter away, but Reid and Damian will be together soon enough. Thanks for the comment!

Your choices have been perfect. My favorite (hetero) romances have tended to be those strictly from the woman's POV -- I like the guy to be a bit inscrutable. And Reid was always 'my' guy, though I'll admit that in Outlier it's been just as satisfying living in his head and loving Luke.

Thanks! What a nice thing to read.

Well, Reid is due for a little less of that inscrutable quality soon and he might babble a little- Luke is just getting to him after all! But I know what you mean! Part of the fun is guessing what he is thinking.
