Merlin/Arthur Fics
Fragile by troygirl68. (R; 1,100 words for the first fic, ~5,000 for all three fics)

This little fic trilogy is so cute and sweet and hot. I loved each of them. Each one is just a little glimpse into their lovely relationship and they're all so heartwarming. Make sure to read the next to stories: Precious and Delicious. :)

Merlin has more than one secret to keep. Merlin was born with angel wings. All his life, they were small and flat enough to hide beneath his shirt, but when he falls in love with Arthur, they grow humongous.
Having read a few creature fics(and liked a lot of them) when in the HP fandom, I couldn't resist Winged!Merlin. My brain went "Merlin with wings?!! OMG YESSS CLICK!!" This fic is a retelling of the first season so we see how the wing secret changes everything. It's still being updated but I'm enjoying it so much so far.

In many ways, Arthur was the only thing keeping his sanity intact, while simultaneously being one of the main sources for his inner turmoil. Which was why he needed to get away. He needed some perspective, some time to sort things out and get himself together again. It was only a matter of time before Arthur finally broke him.
Everything about this fic is perfect. It's all done so well, the characters are spot on, and you can almost see an episode happening exactly like this. Merlin is so fragile and upset; Arthur is worried. And I think the way the reveal happened was exactly how I want it to be done in the series. ♥ I just can't get enough of this and keep going back to reread some of my favorite scenes.

Merlin goes home to Ealdor for two weeks and Arthur is not at all bothered by this. No really, he isn’t. Assumes kind of established relationship (as in, Arthur’s about to find out just how established it is).
This is really cute. Arthur just doesn't know what to do with himself now that Merlin is away. It's all very awkward for him and very amusing for us. :D

Arthur is the son in Pendragon and Son, a large department store. Merlin is a newly hired seasonal worker. They don't get along at first, until Merlin finds a baby left in the store.
Ohh, baby fics, you are my guilty pleasure! And when they're done like this? I just can't help but gobble them up and read them over and over. It has just the right balance of humor and banter and a bit of sexual tension and ohhh the fluff. There were so many scenes that were so powerful and sweet and funny that I remember them now and my heart aches, or I smile or laugh. I just can't get enough of this fic. I need more, more, more! hahaha
