The Short of It!
Thanks to my health problems in January, I inherited one extra little problem on the side. It was eventually labeled 'systemic stress disorder', and it involved me loosing roughly 75-80% of my hair over a 3-month period. And yes, it's almost, but not quite as fun as you might think it is! I'm just glad that when I shower now the drain no longer looks as though I just drown a small furry animal!
I'm also happy to report that the fallout has finally stopped and the regrowth process has begun! (Though, it does itch a bit...)
The only real downside to all of this was the 20% of my hair that hadn't fallen out. As of this month it was all looking pretty fine and ratty, having not been cut since around the holidays in December. So, I visited my favorite hair stylist and had her cut it all short, so it could all grow back together -- and man, is it ever short (about 1/4"-3/8")! I don't think I've had a haircut this short since the 60s (yes, I am that old)! I look as though I'm either ready to enter the military, or just got out of prison!
It's definitely a different look for me! I wonder how my Hun' is going to react to it...?
