Since about January I've had the idea bubbling away on a back burner that I'd like to take most of August and drive backroads to my lake house in the Finger Lakes of Upstate New York, just me and my dog.

I'm almost done with the States. I'd like Alaska, New Hampshire and Maine filled in. The northmidwestern states I don't really care about.

Snaps to the Sheraton on the Park in Sydney for having free, working WiFi in the lobby and an office in which to use it. Unlike the Hilton on the Park in Melbourne, which wanted something like AUD$700/hr for WiFi ( Read more... )

I should mention that the only thing that would take me to a McDonald's while in some exotic locale would be free WiFi so I can talk to yewwww, dear Creepy Internet Stalker.
