My tenant is trying to fill the two spare bedrooms in the house he's renting. It's too large a house for one person to carry, so it's find roommates, or move. I don't want to lose him; he's a great guy. So this is my shout-out in an effort to help him.
It's a
beautiful house in the Bywater on the edge of the Marigny, near Bywater BBQ, Markey's, Country Club, Coffea, Mimi's, etc. Over 2000'sq. with several common area rooms.
Balconies. Central A/C and heat. Laundry room. Enormous
garden.
Hot tub in the backyard. I lived in this house for a few years and loved the space so much that I still pine for it.
First room: Around 14'x14' with an actual closet (rarity in N.O., I know!). $450/mo.
Second room: The huge double parlour, around 32'x14', with an ornate, gorgeous, 120 year old plaster arch in the center of the room and lots of floor-to-ceiling windows. This room leads to the front balcony, great for container gardening. (Auto-drip system is installed up there, I believe.) This room was actually the set for Jill Ireland's "apartment" in the 1975 Chuck Bronson film Hard Times. Heh heh. (
Here's a pic of just half the room. It's twice this size, actually. And doesn't have all my crap in it.) $650/mo.
Rent plus a portion of the util's, obviously. (Water paid.)
Both rooms are available immediately.
You should have a viable source of income so my tenant doesn't feel sketchy about you.
