Dear forlorn online journal,
Yes, it’s true, and I’m sorry.
Yes, I know.
I let you languish too long, letting the dust settle thick on the furniture, and the roof leak water over the bookshelves, and a family of rats make a nest for themselves in the guest bedroom.
I let it happen, and I apologize.
I’ll be up on the roof fixing the leak immediately, and I’ll embark on a cleaning spree--feather duster in hand--afterwards. The rats have even agreed to help, which I much appreciate.
As part of the clean-up efforts I’ve even changed the name that appears on the mailbox. I hope you like the new name, or can learn to like it. Try it out, and let me know. If it still doesn’t suit you I can always change it. Really.
