Good thing I have a box of wine in the fridge.
Seriously, this last couple weeks since I closed have been crazy. Still working, had to go out of town for staph development for 3 days, packing packing packing.
sundaygray , bless her heart, came over and helped me with the kitchen, which I'd been avoiding. Technically this was during work hours, but for once my slackitude paid off: we were supposed to be vetting standardized test questions (you'd think the Scantron folks did this but some questions were, well, questionable in their validity and reliability...the sorts of questions where there was one answer that was right and one that was kinda right enough) and prepping teaching materials to go with them (yes for teaching to the test, gag) and then we got the word that all new materials are being prepared. I'm keeping my materials because I did not make them specific to the questions, but to the concepts behind the questions (plot, characters) and I'm sure we will be able to use them but...honestly, the person who told us about the all new materials could have told us that, since she's known for months. I'm glad I didn't bust my ass too much.
Oh, yes, the moving. Cassie is as calm as can be, having done this many times before. Rufus has been curious and queasy. He snuggled this morning though. They're going over this morning, and I'll spend some time with them in the basement (since movers don't need to go in the basement) before picking up the truck and paying people to haul my crap for me, because sometimes it's just easier that way.
On to the next great adventure!
