Roger and Lavender's Wedding Reception [party]

Jan 11, 2014 17:10

Lavender and Roger were under the impression that Marlow had put together a cozy birthday dinner, something a little fancy and a little fun to celebrate her twenty-sixth. And while there would certainly be sparklers to celebrate that event, she knew that there was something else that ought to be celebrated. Something like the very whirlwind wedding that had taken place just a week before.

There was a fantastic loft located right in the center of London and with a little help from a few friends, a little creativity and a lot of sparkling lights, Marlow managed to put the whole thing together in record time.

The space was open and wide, the brick walls exposed with tall windows that opened to the bright city lights. Vanilla candles filled the window ledges while warm white lights were strung from the rafters in the ceiling. Tables filled the space, save for the center spot - perfect for a dance floor.

On the far side of the room sat the wedding cake and a section for gifts, already piled high.

Guests had arrived about half an hour before Marlow was scheduled to meet Roger and Lavender. The band was already playing and drinks were being passed around along with appetizers. The mood was genial, warm, everyone was excited to see the newlyweds.

Just as 7 o'clock struck, Marlow smoothed out her dress, slipped from the room and hurried to meet them.
