Yes, I have been listening to a lot of "A Way With Words".

I've been trying to think of regional expressions that are Canadian or Vancouverian or Pacific Northwest-ian. (Other than "hoser" and "take off, eh", neither of which I ever said unless I was quoting Bob and Doug.) I found an interesting list of Canadian slang. (Also here.) I didn't know some of these words were specifically Canadian, like:

ABM
deke
garburator
homo milk
Kraft Dinner (OMG, we lived off that stuff when I was a kid!)
parkade
pencil crayon
runners
washroom
housecoat
Shreddies
brown bread
butter tart
icing sugar
Caesar (instead of a Bloody Mary)
keener

I do remember the time we were at a Pizza Hut in California and my mom asked the waitress for serviettes and the waitress was like "WHUT?"

Tell me your regionalisms!
