An unexpected trip to Ireland to visit my sick grandpa and have a lovely Irish St.Patrick's Day. My grandfather had the flu, he called us and just happened to mention this. He wasn't gravely ill or anything, but my mom used this as an excuse to take another trip to her home. Before I get to that, I never told what happened with my mom's date. He came when my friend Jason was over and automatically assumed he was her son. Jason--bartender, fairly well-built, black spikey hair, muscle shirt, black jeans, and boots. He was in the living room where my mom left her man, Paul, while she went to finish getting ready. I was in my room, came out and heard, "you're the type of man I'd expect you're mother to raise, strong, v----", "he's not her son", I replied, "I am". His response "Oh.... sorry", he said with a smile. I wasn't smiling. He started to ask me the arbitrary questions which I answered and when mom came out I kissed her goodbye and left. Needless to say, Paul didn't make a great impression with me.
On to Ireland, the reatest thing happened! Samantha Mumba kissed me on the cheek at the St. Patrick's Day Parade! I am so glad grandpa got sick! He was there with me by the way, he was basically better by the time we got there. Oh my God, she is so beautiful. I've fallen in love all over again just thinking about it. I don't even know how I got near here. I left my mom and the rest of the family and me and two of my friends just were bouncing around everyone, crawling through holes in the crowd and BAM! there she was. I felt like "the stupid American tourist" as the only thing I could say is I come all the way from America and you're my favorit person in the world. She smiled with her guards breathing down my neck and asked my name I told her "Mark" and she said "Well, Mark, (Big Kiss) Welcome to Ireland, Hope you enjoy it! After this she was shuffled off and I was left standing dumbfounded. I completely forgot the rest of the world existed! My friends were in shock, none of us could believe what happened and I felt light-headed. I literally had to sit down. We sat in the same spot for what seemed like forever until my mom found us. Even when she came I couldn't explain what happened, my friends had to. She laughed, and said "children". That's all she could say. Needless to say, I spent the rest of my time there hoping to bump into her again, but of course it never happened. I look way better than that guy she's engaged to, but at least I got a kiss which is more than what most people can say. I love you Samantha!
Oh yeah, what I got my mom for St.Patrick's Day. I found a rare family photo of all of us together from when I was little (before the family had disowned her) and edited it into a picture of us all in a field in Ireland with little Leprechauns attacking everyone except my mom, grandpa, and I who are surrounded and protected by little fairies. She loved it! She had it amde into a portrait, framed, and it hangs right over the TV so no one can miss it when they come over. Yes, we are a twisted family!
