Hilarious mishaps!

Well here I am, sitting in my room like a deranged hermit, eating curry rice with a cheese and writing in my oft-ignored journal.
The three atricles of the day are:
1. I have no money!
2. Played with kids at the zoo!
3. Memorizing game!
4. Sorry

It seems that the news of the day is how I have absolutely no money right now. Wait, not entirely true, I have 22 yen. What happened was my credit card, my current only source of money, expired abruptly yesterday and left me in debt to my good roommate Ark who lent me 3000yen for a final fun excursion. I have 300$ in pure American cash money bills but due to the happy existence of golden week, banks are closed for the next three days. These factors combined to make me the equivalent of a beggar with a roommate. Let me tell you, there are better ways I had intended to spend my golden week...

Here's a temporary list of things I've missed out on by having no money:
1. Kesuke's barbecue
2. Tokyo to see George
3. Fun in Kyoto with the Gary/Alexis combo.
4. The orgy on 5th, Although it may have been for the best

The Friday before the incident I had lots of hilarious fun with Chase's Okaasan and her elementary English class. She basically hired us to have a fun-filled day at the zoo and provide fun language interaction with the kids. There was Me, Chase, Rex, Alexxsors (or however you spell her name) and Gary, and we all were pared off with either one or two kids to explore the zoo and (theoretically) converse fluently in English about current politics. My evaluation of the Zoo is as follows, Plus: Kids are fun and we got our lunch paid for! Bad: The zoo was perhaps the most depressing thing ever. Imagine the lush, green landscapes of the Sandiego zoo with custom built habitats and on site care for all of the animals’ physical and emotional needs. Now imagine that the animals there were Jews and the zoo was Nazi Germany. The animals’ habitats were primarily concrete dwellings with little or no shelter from the prying eyes of the zookeepers, their thoughts as their only companionship. Indeed, many of the larger animals lived in solitary confinement, such as the elephant (zou) giraffe (kirin) and ape (ape). However, it was fun playing with the kids at the temple we went to afterwards. We played English comprehension games and finished it up with a variation of "Tag" (which, indecently, must have been the most terrifying thing ever, as we were veritable giants, hulks of human beings furiously chasing each kid with lightning-like speed).

I've decided to see how long it takes me too memorize 1000 new words to add to my vocabulary. I think it's something around 2000 or so, but that's not good enough!! New kanji also count towards my grand total as well.

Here's a vocab count so far:
60 words for the part 1 of Wedding Simulator.
50 words for part 2 of Wedding Simulator.
So I have 120 or so in the bag. Next I'm going to try and memorize a list of 40 suffixes and 20 additional adverbs.

For this I apologize and hope to do better as soon as I can! Also, if I have forgotten to reply to an e-mail, or forgotten a recent promise, please leave a message here so I can get be reminded.
