So my laptop died last night. A Compaq Presario CQ50-115NR that I have had since 2008. It took several minutes last night for it to begin its boot sequence (bios screen then OS boot-up). Somehow the last 4 days have been horrible for the connection I've got. On a normal day the modem can get 46666 bps, but these last 4 days I have seen nothing higher than 19200 bps no matter what access number I use. Since it's already June 30th.. I leave on July 1st at about 1 PM. However the matter of the bus tickets has been very pressing yesterday. I had to call customer service twice to find out that the reason the tickets didn't come was likely due to them being lost in the mail. Or intercepted by a less than nice person. Simply put, I have a new laptop in mind. I don't know what I am going to do in return, but I need a laptop that can definately handle Second Life since it seems to hate what I have right now.
