A while back I tried Flensburger Dunkel which was pretty good. The bottle of Flensburger Pilsener I had last night, however, was awful. Virtually no carbonation, very thin and watery. Tasted and smelled bad enough that I threw out 2/3rds of the glass.

"Brewed in Scotland since 2000 B.C.!" This beer pours a cloudy amber with very little head. It does have a nice flowery smell. The taste is somewhat sweet but it felt thin and weak. I didn't find as much depth to it as other reviewers: http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/80

1. Goats has been sort of plotty lately, but today's strip delivers a punchline that caught me completely off guard. (It narrowly beat out Starslip Crisis's over-the-top management joke for top billing.) I also liked PVP's take on Talk Like a Pirate Day. (P.S. This beer is a Norwegian import (from Grimstad.) It had a much darker color coming out of the bottle than I had expected (sort of a coppery brown), as well as a decent amount of head, which receded quickly. It was also more hazy than I'm used to in a pale ale ( Read more... )
