Oh, we're not going to agree about this, are we. I thought Uruguay were a touch on the theatrical side - he looked at me, see me dive as though shot - but (one hack aside) not dirty.
France were extremely disappointing. Ribery HAD to try to beat the second man and NEVER did. Change of tactics? Non. Gorcou was almost as bad and we have already seen the miss of the tournament (after Ribery did the right thing, for the one and only time) from Govou. They only looked dangerous when Henry and Kalou came on and showed very little imagination against 10 men and a centre half so fragile he'll probably sign for Newcastle after the tournament!
I doubt the likes of Germany, Spain and Brasil will be losing sleep about anything they saw on Friday.
The play may have been fairly uninspiring so far (two whole matches!) but the spectacle has been very tasty. And important as football is, I think the success of the staging is more so.
Good luck to England, Mark! I hope that will make a good debut :) As for the today's games I am very curious to see how Diego is coaching a team at World Cup. Until now he didn't prove to be a very inspired or good coach. We have the same problem with Hagi, great player, but when it comes to coaching, well... Let's say that I find Greece to be one of the weakest teams of the tournament and I believe that South Korea will win 1-0. I saw Nigeria at African Nations Cup and they were pretty weak, so I believe that Messi & co. will not have a problem with this one 3-0. And for the England, they didn't play at their level in the friendlies, but the official games are a different sort of play. 3-1 against the US. Keep Audrey throwing those dices though :D

Be interesting to see how much more time Henry gets in the tournament.
