See, I was right about the dirty Uruguayans...
One game played and already several yellows and, surprise, surprise, a red to boot.
I can't remember when my antagonism towards Uruguay started but it seems to have been justified every single world cup match I have watched them play.
France deserved to win, especially with a penalty decision denied them. However, I thought it was kind of funny that it was a handball that wasn't spotted, seeing as that is the exact reason why they are in the finals themselves...karma in full force eh? ;)
Anyway, an enjoyable day one, even with two draws and now I can get all nervous about England making their debut against USA tomorrow evening...
