What's that in fathoms?
I think there is quite a good indictment of the rather half-hearted switch to the metric system in this country, and subsequent teaching of measurements, in that when ordering my graduation gown I kept having to switch between metric and imperial, as I know my height and chest size in inches, but I only know my hat size in centimetres.
Also, ouch, eighty quid for a few photos and the hire of a robe that I shall be wearing for about an hour and a half!?
Ouch.
At those prices, anyone would think Ede & Ravenscroft has some sort of monopoly on graduation wear.
