I know I said I'd be updating more, but...
... stuff happened.
My friend since grade school's foster grandmother died. And she had been living with her. So there was the wake/funeral. And then we had to help her move her and her daughter out of said grandmother's house (she had been living there to help care for her) because the real children of the woman wanted to start cleaning it out because the landlord wants to have it cleaned/cleared/etc so it can be rented by a new tenant next month. I guess someone already had dibs on the bungalow.
Also, I had a shit load of stuff to cover for Gamertell and Siliconera. Which kept me quite busy, as you can imagine. I'd finally used a 3DS supplemental battery enough to review it, finally played White Knight Chronicles II enough to do the playtest for it and got to doing the Persona 2 Innocent Sin review I should probably have done last week since I'd already beaten it. It was pretty much catch up time.
Then Saturday I also hung out with Daniel and Matthew for a while. They're the sons of the dude and woman who were my mom's best friends years ago. They were in town from Denver visiting some family, so I got to see them. It's amazing how much they've changed in the last five years!
Finally, yesterday I got to hang out at Jessi's with her, her new boyfriend Patrick (who we knew from classes at NEIU) and Caitlin. It was game night, with Nightmare, Balderdash and Scruples.
Aside from that, that covers everything.
Oh, and I decided on my Halloween costume. I was watching Doctor Who on channel 11 last night and there was this awesome episode with the 11th doctor that had these things called Weeping Angels. They look like the angel statues that are crying, when you look at them. When you don't look, they get grotesque faces and kill people. So yeah, I think that would be pretty appropriate for Halloween.
