Well, I'm back! I returned yesterday afternoon sometime. It was an uneventful trip home. I have decided that I don't mind flying much, but I hate the approach to landing. The turning and the bumps really upset my motion sickness! The actual landing is fine.
The conference ended well. I spoke to my friend's advisor who I used to work for a lot as well, and he told me that two people were asking about me after my talk. He said they were interested in when I would graduate. I don't know how seriously to take this statement, but it's nice to know!
I have some more pictures to share!

This is the arch as it's getting dark. Since it's so tall and reflective, it catches the sunset just a bit longer than we do!

This is down by the riverside. The Mississippi still seemed a bit high. I think it was supposed to be behind those chains!

Two of my friends took the challenge to eat a one-pound hot dog and they succeeded! Unfortunately, the waitress failed to mention that the T-shirts they were supposed to get were out of stock.

I wanted a good picture of the arch at night because it's so shimmery and beautiful, but this is the best I could do.

I flew into Chicago from St. Louis to catch my connecting flight. As we got closer, I looked out the window to see this! Hello Fermilab!!!
I've been watching Doctor Who and really like it! I'm almost to the end of the second season and have a feeling I'm going to be depressed after it. I know a few things that happen, just not exactly how they happen. Any other of my friends Doctor Who fans?
