50: what's an odd thing you collect?
Hmmm. I don't think I really collect anything anymore. When I was younger I collected rocks and Trident gum wrappers (I thought I could get enough to wallpaper a wall in my room and I'm sure I could have gotten most of the way there by the time I quit collecting them) but now I don't want to keep that many of anything. I guess you could say I collect movies? But I have really curbed my spending on dvds and blurays in the past few years because a) it's expensive and b) I download most stuff now and contribute to the problem of physical stores going out of business. I have such a love/hate relationship with myself on that point. :\
I wanted to have the second episode of our podcast up tonight but there's a couple things I want to edit and try to get our intro music in the right spot and so forth. I also haven't spent any time on the actual site where I've uploaded the first episode (available here, if you're so inclined) to add a background image or proper profile info or anything. I slapped a logo up there for us but it's incredibly simple and I don't know if it's staying.
D and I have no idea what we're doing with this thing, fyi, and it's recorded on my laptop with no sound mixing (one because I don't know how and two because we don't have the equipment) so beware of loud spots if you're listening on headphones. The second episode is almost even worse and that's AFTER I said we should try to keep the exclamations to a minimum, LOL.
Episode three is being recorded tomorrow after work. I think once we get three under our belt and I edit and post them I'll feel a bit more confident about announcing it more widely that we have them up and an official podcast. To this point I've been holding back in case we slipped and shit the bed with recording. But I think three episodes is a good place to tentatively wave a flag and say, "we're here!" I also despise listening to myself and think I sound absolutely brainless when I speak and sometimes the topics we flit by are so complex I freeze up because I don't want to say something that will offend someone.
Tomorrow we talk ghost stories so I'll be able to rest a little easier during that editing. I hope, LOL!
