Get in the car, loser

Went shopping today with a sick-and-medicated mother and had an okay day. I spent a bit on myself, getting some new basics and boots and bras and things. We also went to Value Village, a second-hand store and I made off with three jackets-- one fall/spring-y, one more for winter and a blazer that looks almost like bronzed snakeskin but it's just a fabric effect. Made off with those three, a pair of pants (tags still on them!) and a denim skirt, on top of the stuff I got at the mall.

On the way home the drive was made more annoying by the first "squall" of the season. The weather fluctuated between sleet, rain, and varying levels of flurries. I don't mind driving in snow, generally, but I HATE driving in rain. I find rain harder to see through than snow and it's further complicated by having to manipulate the temperature JUST RIGHT or else the windows all fog up. It usually ends up with me feeling clammy all day and like my hair has suddenly gotten 300% limper and wavier.

There's not a full twinned highway between here and the other city we went to and so hard to deal with a lot of kms of people passing like dickheads and riding the car ahead's ass, then putting on the brakes. We played asshole leapfrog the entire way home, about four or five of us. Once we got back into town this afternoon within five blocks I was almost run into three times. I can't tell if it's just because it's Friday or if the first "snow" brings out the moron in people.

I downloaded a game to my phone tonight called "Animation Throwdown: The Quest for Cards". It's focused on characters from every Fox animated show--except the Simpsons. Even King of the Hill and Futurama! It's pretty fun for a fan of any of those shows. I've wasted quite a bit of time on it already, LOL.

And thus ends the most boring entry about a shopping spree ever.
