all the tv talk, I have it all
I've watched some No Tomorrow, Conviction, Timeless, Bob's Burgers, Frequency, 2 Broke Girls, Supergirl (well, to the end of season 1 so I could be ready for tonight's premiere which is still waiting on me), The Good Place and Superstore. Goddamn, where did all this TV come from? I still haven't watched the most recent Scorpion, Conviction, Code Black, Lethal Weapon, or Designated Survivor. I am waiting to watch Atlanta, Better Things, How to Get Away With Murder, The Flash, and American Horror Story.
My DVR is a complicated device at the moment. ESPECIALLY since the motherfucker seems to be picking and choosing which episodes it wants to record. I've been utilizing Telus' TV on demand feature since premiere season has landed on us and it's FINE, more convenient than downloading at times, but it doesn't have any CW stuff on there and there are still (shorter) commercial interruptions.
Convcition was better than I thought it would be. Not 100% on board with Hayley Atwell's American accent and the pilot was a bit too rote for me but it was entertaining enough. Timeless was... okay? I'll keep watching, I guess, but there's something about Abigail Spencer that I find off-putting to a point. I don't know if she reminds me of someone else or if it's the way the character is written or just her face. *shrugs* Frequency wasn't quite what I was expecting. Like, it was the trailers I'd seen so the first episode was pretty clear from those, but it was a bit more complicated than I thought it was going to be.
Two sorta time-travel shows on my docket at the moment, we'll see how long they last. Time travel gets SO complicated and in Timeless, I see it getting especially difficult. I don't know how often the characters can get back to the present with historical events having changed and the current world NOT be fucked up as a whole.
From the reaction I'm seeing of Hoechlin's Superman debut (ngl, he's the only reason why I caught up with Supergirl) I wouldn't be too shocked to see Berlanti and the CW sink their hooks into him and get him a series, Superman or not. If that happened it would prrrrrobably film in Vancouver, no? Seeing as 85% of their shows film there now... *twiddles fingers* Eeeexcellent.
I start my new job tomorrow! I had to text guy!C to ask him what time I should start in the morning, LOL. I have a feeling I'm going to have to adjust to a slightly slower pace than I've been used to. Not that there won't be a lot of work or that they won't be relying on me but I'm so used to having multiple deadlines and being under a time crunch for a lot of things but this is a totally different avenue and I won't be used to having a bit more relaxed environment.
I'm a bit sick, thanks to my mom. She came down with a cold before we went away shopping on Friday. I was dreading her coming with me in case this happened and, wouldn't you know it, it did. It's not terrible but I SO didn't want to kick off my first week at the new job coughing and sniffling. Halls and drugs, ahoy!
I'll try to remember to take pics or Snapchat or something to document how things go. What a time to be alive!
