so yesterday, i took on my "Freshman Road Trip."
ok, it was only to Austin, and as Greg put it, it was more of a "long drive" than a real "Road Trip."
BUT since my parents didnt know about it, and it's not like I could drive that far away and come back in a day, i figured i'd take it easy my freshman year, and kinda build up to Senior Road Trip where i'll drive to Alaska.
jk.
Austin was pretty cool, OBVIOUSLY like 10x better than UTSA. The dorms and math building did however look like prisons.
so the rundown:
-we (me and kosmic K) left UTSA around 12:25pm
-we arrived at the campus at ~1:35 (during lunch rush hour)
-we took a tour of the campus which ended around 4.
-We went to eat at Jack in the Box where some lady kepy yelling into her phone in Russian
-Went to "Tyler's" (like, the main Fan Shop i think?) and I still think that hat with the pink logo looked kickass on KK. And Greg definitely should gotten the $4,000 poker table.
-we hung out in the dorm and I played "Turtles in Time" for SNES. i DEFINITELY have to get that game now.
-I messed around with the guitar, then Greg kicked my ass at it, then Karalea owned us on the piano.
(kinda makes me wish I had learned a real instrument.)
-I bought two ninja turtle action figures at what i think is the nerd room. it was like, wall to wall video games for all systems, even the Jaguar and Sega 32x.
-Ran into Ilanna while walking around which was completely random but good.
-Went to "Plucker's" which was a pretty good wings place. And not a wing's place like Hooter's. this place's slogan was "If you don't like our wings, we'll give you the bird!"
-Left around 9:50pm
-Missed the 1604 exit at around 10:35
-IF I HADN'T i swear i coulda been at UTSA by like 10:45, but got there around 11.
and that was essentially the trip. it was pretty fun. definitely would do it again.
