Hello, lovely LJers!

I'm sorry this post is so tardy. The fact is, it takes some time to sort 1400 pictures. Yes, I'm afraid that's what MsMaggot and I took between us. But now, happily, they are all filed, and I am ready to take you on A Journey Through New Zealand. I hope you will find your patience rewarded ( Read more... )

Of course I did! Look what happened when I didn't-- I put an eye out!

New Zealand is very dangerous. I can see why balrogs live there. Cheers!

Thank you so much for sharing these photos! And I'm so glad you had this opportunity to go there for all of us who want to go to New Zealand, but don't have the money to do so. These are great, and the signs to go along with them made me laugh. Can't wait for the next installment.

I'm working on it now. The big hurdle was getting everything sorted. The next entries will be easier to do... knock on wood!

Oh, yay!!! The first of what promises to be many trip reports! :-) I love the "accessible glacier"! Too cool. Those Kiwis really do like their signs, don't they?

Looking forward to Part 2!

(I thought I was doing good with my 791 pics from Alaska. I can see I'm an amateur compared to you guys!)

Well, it was 1400 between us. But we took a lot of pictures so we'd have one good one to use for some of our setups. Lots of attempts, in other words. We had to get that one good take!

Cheers. :)

A wonderful travelogue, very informative and entertaining.

Sorry about the eye. Do you have a patch now?

No, I use a wooden eye. I take it out and do tricks-- very handy!

*sigh* Wish I had better timing with the goofball mistake! *hugs you*

HAHAHAHAHAHA!! Too funny. Love all of the little yellow people signs. I don't suppose you'd ever consider going back and seeing all of the Hobbit etc, sites again. I really, really would like to see my hobbit etc sites with someone...don't want to go alone, you know. It will be at least 2 years...????

Hi, Tree! We didn't actually see a lot of hobbit sites. Our plan was to enjoy the country, and if we fell across a movie location that looked interesting, we'd check it out. We did have a wonderful time and I hope to return to NZ someday. It's gorgeous and very relaxing. :)
