I find myself deeply resenting that I won't get to read any more new Anvil of the World books from her, and deeply grateful that I got to read the ones she wrote. Her prose just sparkled.

I have mixed feelings on the entire settlement, from my different perspectives as a writer (read truepenny for more specifics on how the settlement can affect writers), reader, and Google user. The more discussion, the better.
