Why I love the internet:

Because I have just spent the last two hours chatting with a marine biologist and government official in Myanmar about cooperative fishing efforts and river conservation issues on the Ayeyawaddy River. Not all that long ago, Myanmar's repressive government kept the country incredibly isolated from the rest of the world. Much of it still is, but I can't help regarding the small fact that a Myanmar government official is able to chat with me (I have no idea how openly or honestly, although he has voiced criticisms about the process) about government work in the area and about Transformers as one small positive sign.
