Why all the patience in the world sometimes just isn't enough... :o)

Mom: Can you take a look at my glasses? The lens fell off and the little screw is really hard to get back in. It's so small.
Me: Sure. Let me see.
Mom: See how the two pieces come together? That's where the screw goes.
Me: Ok mom. Let's see... (I take the glasses, put the two pieces together and hold them in position with one hand. With my other hand I try to screw the tiny little screw back in, but the screwdriver is a bit too thick and the screw incredibly short.)
Mom: No. Don't hold them like that.
Mom: Hold them like this.
Me: I'm holding them fine, mom, but it looks like the frame is bent and the two pieces don't sit flush.
Mom: Do it like I say, I have more experience.
Me: My old glasses do this all the time. Hang on.
Mom: The two pieces have to be flush. Hold them flush.
Me (calmly): Yup. I know.
Mom: (sticking her hands in my field of vision) Just... here... wait... let me... (almost knocks the glasses out of my hand)
Me (calmly): Wait mom. Just one second.
Mom: If you press too hard the screw will jump up!
Me: Don't worry.
Mom: You're holding it wrong. I know - I've done this many times. You're holding it wrong.
Me: sigh...
Mom: Can you see? Can you see? Let me do it.
Me: I can see perfectly up close, mom. My vision up close is perfect. One more second and I'll have it.
Mom: No, here, let me try.
Me: Ok. :o)
