As Ionel is entertaining a possible opportunity in California, I find myself obsessing over earthquakes and my fear of flying (which would be put to the test more and more often should something come of this and we move). Gah... What's wrong with me? Since when do I worry about earthquakes for crying out loud!?!

I'm from Romania, so, yes, I have flown before, both here and abroad. I don't like it. The bigger the plane, the worse I feel. I only feel comfortable in small, airline maintained planes, but it is pretty rare that I get to travel on those.

I can go to this conference in Portugal in September, but I'm not sure if I'm going to go: the long flight seems kind of scarry.

If you go at night and can sleep through it, it's not so bad.

Hmm... what should I do about food on the plane? I've packed for 6 hour trips, but from San Diego to Lisbon much be much longer. Oh, well, I suppose if I'm sleeping most of the time I won't really need to eat as much.
