Didn't Pass
I got my email from Disney this morning regarding the audition:
Dear Marina,
We would like to thank you for attending the recent Walt Disney World® Entertainment audition in your area. Although you were not selected for a role as a Character Performer, you will still be considered for possible participation in the Disney College Program in a different line of business.
You will receive your official notification within the next few weeks, and it will provide you with all the information you need.
Honestly, I didn't think I'd pass it. The day before the audition, I was tripped on the subway and hurt my knee. All the turns in the dance routine were on that leg so I could barely do it. I went to the doctor yesterday and was told that I tore the cartilage under my knee cap. I just know if I hadn't been hurt, I would have done well. I knew all the steps in the dance from parts of routines I do in my classes here.
The good news is that they sent the email a week earlier than they said they would, which means they're ahead in processing everything. Hopefully there will still be room in Hospitality for me. All I want at this point is to get in the dang program.
