I watched Yamanade ep.8 today. It’s the only drama I am watching this season and I haven’t written anything yet. First of all, I watch it raw until the subs come out. Drama Crazy has an awful quality and they want me to turn off pop-up blocker in order to watch the last episode with subs. Yeah, right!!!
Next, to the drama! As I have read up to volume 15 of the manga (Wallflower), I can compare manga and drama. Well, I enjoyed the manga because it has so many improbable situations it made me laugh a lot. It’s surrealistic and really crazy. The drama seems calmer, but it has the touches of surrealism as well. Sunako is very beautiful and I came to like Kame as Kyohei, as well as the other characters. The basic changes they did at Sunako is that she is almost exclusively wearing a back cloak. In the manga she is wearing any kind of old and tattered clothes. And I don’t know how she was supposed to sound the manga, but when she talks in the drama it sounds like she is some kind of little boy trying to sound masculine. The little boy they added really offers nothing to the story, but at least it’s easy ignore and just see it as a cute presence in the house. In a whole it’s a sweet and funny story that makes you feel good. My favorite part until now is the scene when Kyohei is trying to explain to a stalker what he thinks about love. He was so very right! And there are various fanservice scenes as well. Can’t wait for the subs! <3
