Sort of message to politicians
Politics is such a weird thing... For example, I was reading about the Iranian president and his claim that his country will not be attacked during a military ceremony. This was because of the rumors that Iran will try to built a nuclear bomb and that Israel is going to attack. Well, all those rumors have been refuted.
Still, the unease about Iran and its nuclear program remains.
I understand that things in Iran are not perfect and the unease is at some point understandable. But can we built humanity's future on feelings like that? Maybe I am too soft and naive by saying this, but I don't think people have the right midset for solving problems in this case. Allright, there is a chance Iran builts a nuclear bomb. I don't have the knowledge to know how this will affect the region. But if it doesn't, and it trully does builts energy plants, this will be beneficial in many ways. First of all, the clear energy source will help the planet. And then, I assume it will help Iran's economy as a whole. And when a country's economy gets better, education gets better. One more country getting out of poverty and possibly setting the basis for a more just society is potentially good for all of us.
And those are the thoughts of a simple-minded girl. Probably all those politicians and diplomats out there know better than me. I just hope that we are not all ruled by fear. And I stil want to believe in the future of this planet.
