Friday was the last day of of the semestral school term. To top it off, my friend Miren's dental appointment was moved--and she should pig out while she can. And we did. We ate like there was no tomorrow, like it was our "last request." ;) You should see the bill we had at the
Seaside Mart that night. After all the servings of rice, the crabs, the prawns, the calamares, and adobo, we were all flat broke.
Saturday Night. The Legal Management Society's General Assembly at Ratsky's Tomas Morato.
Hmmm.. The food was okay, I guess. Carbonara, more pasta, sisig, and suckling pig (talk about eating healthy): not much of a choice, but I was filled anyway.
Richard, who's my neighbour, and I got there at 7pm. Save for the fact that
Elle and Maro, very talented classmates, :) sang, the program was quite dead. I wish I had pictures, but the DigiCam had gone berserk, so I'd just have to wait for recopies. The music was blah--we got to dance just a little, and then the in-house band started performing slow, sentimental songs, that I wouldn't dare dance to, unless I was a stripper. o.O
We went to Miren's place hours before the Assembly was supposed to end, ate, drank, and was merry. :) Like in most drinking sprees, we had the "laglagan". It's a good thing we wrapped up before it was my turn, but I know I'm in it for the next time. o.O Haha.. I'd try to blend in and pretend I'm not there.
I was sober when we left, though. I got woozy after the tequila, but not enough to make me start doing silly high-schoolish things, like Angelo's dare. Hahahaha (no fricking way!).
My friend Noy initially offered to take us to Edsa, and from there, we were supposed to hail a cab to get to the Decades bar @Timog, QC. But he took us to Decades instead. Ang bait. :) We lost the other party on the way (Kevin's), because the other car and ours were so caught up in beating the other on the road. Mir's Acura shifted gears automatically, whilst Noy's Corolla did it manually, so we won. :) Little did I know that Kevin's party got to goodness-knows-where Sapang Palay. :(
Decades, Timog.
We arrive at a little past 3am--barely enough time til they start putting on the music that kills the dance/party mood. They had on Techno and House, but come 4am, The Calling's "Wherever You Will Go" started playing and we knew it was time to go.
We took a cab and I got home barely before 5am, I was zonked, and I slept all day last Sunday, for I had to set my sleep schedule right before Monday, when I had to get up at 4am, leave at 4.30am, and be at the UST Main Field by 6am.
I got up at 5am, left at 5.30am, and was at the Soccer Field by 7am. Hahaha. My teammates started arriving around that time, so I was saved by mutual laziness, which we made up for by running 10 laps around the field. o.O All the possible weight-gain from the booze and the pig-out fests were churned. :( We don't really undergo a very rigorous training regime, but I got thinner :( as my friend Shelley (from the Cheering Squad!) noted when she saw me the other week.
Tomorrow, Football Training again at the UP Sunken Garden. How do I get there?
(
Alex, Rain, and Patrick, I'm sorry I couldn't have made it to each of your part-ays last Saturday. :) HAPPY BIRTHDAY anyway.)
