If you were in Marie-Antoinette & Louis XVI's position, how do you think you would try to handle the situation (just before the actual start of the Revolution)?:  Leaders should be the servants of the people, not the other way around.  The nobility needed to have fewer privileges and the middle/lower classes needed a break.
