Marvel's New Leia Comic
Still a Star Wars fan too. ^_^ I'd heard that Marvel was doing a new comic series focusing on Leia, with issue 1 due on March 4, so yesterday while I was out getting paint for the Robotech miniatures I also swung by our local comic shop, The Laughing Ogre (which is pretty nice BTW, especially since they remodeled), and picked it up.
It's set after the first movie, and I mean right after, as in the first scene starts in the throne room, with Leia having just given Luke and Han their medals. Where the movie fades out, the comic has the scene continue, with Leia and Dodanna addressing the assembled troops about what to do next.
So far it's...okay. I think it could've used another pass at the dialogue by some fresh eyes, though. Evaan seems pretty unevenly written, and Ackbar is a bit too jerkish. But I liked it well enough to look for the next issue.
