I love Internet and the possibilities it provides to people! Today in the morning I finally decided that I wanted to try myself in the competition of the Project Management in Finland. But I was in Sweden and I needed a team. Ok, my boyfriend agreed to participate very quickly (surprisingly :-) But we missed one more member. And today was the last day of registration and qualification round. And all the team members were supposed to be the students of the University of Vaasa. Lovely conditions, aren't they? :-) And... we together had very busy day today and came back to the issue only after 17:00.
Well, we quickly screened all known university-mates available online in Facebook, Skype and so on. We found... one from my Programme in... Germany :-) She is also on exchange as we are. Accidentally she was not busy at the moment and agreed to join us. Rare fortune in my life, actually.
We registered the team at 18:00 and started online qualification questionnaire at 18:30. Within process one more friend from other distant location joined us to help with some advice. We all were connected through different online messengers and shared the screen with questions, simultaneously looked for information in internet and discussed possible answered. 100 questions were done with prescribed 100 minutes. We were not scored the best but it was not the target actually. And my story is not about it.
This is just about my respect to the technology that connects people so easy and so quickly. Also my big respect to Hugo, Lena and Gaby, I hope they also had fun. Finally I think in terms of project management it was very simple but still a virtual project fulfilled successfully (according to the Project Management definition: successful means that the target has been reached) and in due time.
