f-ing Foo Fighters!
I got the new Foo Fighters CD for Christmas. The CD player in my car ate the 2nd disc in the set. Now it won't play ANY of my CDs, nor spit any of the other 5 out. NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!! I'm gonna go nuts driving back and forth to work! I'm fairly certain that my extended warranty doesn't cover radio repairs. Grrr! Ben says he still has the stereo from the Ranger and that I could have it, but I would have to find a way to aquire it and then get it installed.
I've already called the Ford dealer in Ames and was told they ship radios to a place in Ankeny and turnaround time is 4 weeks. They try to repair the existing unit and usually charge $125-200 if it can be fixed, more if they have to replace the unit. The dealer in Ankeny orders a replacement unit which would take 4-5 days as long as the replacement is in stock, then send the old unit to AZ to bust the CDs out. I called Lithia and they are back to shipping units back to Kansas City, which makes me nervous since they were pretty bad about sending the CDs back, but they gave me the best turnaround time for the total process.
I'll try to call an independent shop in west Ames when they open at 9:30.
