dah! get me outta here

I should have been in Clinton by this time, but I've had a headache since last night and was falling asleep on the way back to my place from WDM, so I came back here thinking I'd sleep for an hour. So 4-5 hours and 12 missed calls from my dad later... I'll leave in the morning, which means I should be not posting here and go wrap presents and pack my bags.

This kinda sucks, I've been in a bit of a pissy mood this week, the week before christmas which is normally a pretty good time for me. I think things will get better next week when we're all on our shifts again and there aren't a shit-ton of people sitting around with nothing to do.
My last post mentioned our potluck at work. That definetly should have waited till today to do something like that. Wednesday was pretty much shot. We were allowed to wear jeans if paired with either a red or green top. I had worn my red dress shirt on Monday and I don't have any other red/green shirts that aren't t-shirts, so I wore khakis with a striped shirt that has green in it, but its mostly blue. I had a feeling that if I tried to pull off wearing jeans with it that others would make comments because that is (sadly) how petty some of my co-workers are. Everyone was way more concerned with the potluck and the white elephant gift exchange and who was who's secret santa than making sure our actual jobs were done.
Apparenly some of them got together yesterday to put a gift together for Tyson which I was neglected to be included. Everybody was supposed to bring some sort of Tyson chicken product. I would have totally participated (the whole Tyson chicken thing is how I remembered with whom I was supposed to have my interview) had I known. Amy was supposed to tell me about it on the way home, but she forgot since we discussed another work thing instead. Someone should have made sure everyone did in fact know about the plan.
