Ahah, BINGO! rayana_wulfric February 21 2012, 21:55:52 UTC
I just got here by pure luck, I saw people reblogging this on Tumblr... and I'm glad. xD THANK YOU FOR THIS POST!

I'm not a Daisuke fan, but I 100% agree with what you wrote up there.

Yet, let me tell you, when I was younger I did start by disliking Daisuke. Soon I realized it wasn't Daisuke I was really mad at. I was angry at the Digimon 02's overall development, simply because Taichi was (as he still is) my favourite character and I was/am a Taiora supporter. I got disapointed at how he ended up replaced by "a random guy we never hear about". And let me admit it, I was too used at the holywoodian "the successfull hero gets the girl" algorithm #laughs I've always loved and hated the 02 series at the same time. Beause the older kids never got the spotlight I was expecting.

Because Daisuke is the main character of these series, my mind probably got angry. It worked like "this isn't what I was expecting from a Adventure 02 season, I'm not interested in knowing about this guy at all! I don't care about Daisuke".
But hey, I was what... 12-13 years old? I was too young and let's just admit it, Digimon has some curious stuff you just don't realise until you grow older. Sorato is once of those things. Growing up is another one of those things.

I'm 23 years now and I've been watching the digimon season since those days, I'm still a digimon fan, there are some things I only realised a couple of years ago.

So, I never really hated Daisuke, it was just a misunderstanding. I'm currently impressed at his overall development - not in the anime series - but because today I know the CD dramas & original films. You can't help but listen to Natsu e no Tobira and feel sorry for him. And yeah, the CD Dramas, and the films, they do give a different perspective on this character.

It isn't the character's fault. I like him a lot today. xD (I support Daikari & Taiora, but I don't mind Takari & Sorato now)

I thank you for your honesty and maturity! :D

(I couldn't believe this was posted on Tumblr! :D I didn't expect anyone to honestly find this post minus a few of my friends)

It's understandable, like I said, some of my friends who were frustrated Tai fans as well, and looking back they realize (well they feel) that they were wrong and harsh on him.

I have a less than favorable opinion of Sorato ^^; Always did. XD

(but I NEVER EVER hated on Matt/Yamato for it! I love the guy! He's a great character!)

Growing up I was indifferent to Takari...now a days, I'm still bored out of my mind from it, but...I think I'm mostly just annoyed seeing it EVERYWHERE and everyone expects me to like it because I ship Taiora too. Plus all that Davis/Daisuke bashing I could do without. But the pairing itself I don't hate, just...find it boring.

I'm still a digimon fan too still(and 22 as of now)...obviously XD

It's totally fine, when I was a kid, I didn't like Gary Oak from Pokemon...now that I'm grown up...I LOVE HIM! XD He's such a troll XD I honestly though found Davis/Daisuke in Natsu e no Tobria slightly Out of Character.

It just remeinded me of the Digiegg of Friendship episode (which Davis was totally OOC) Davis/Daisuke...as established ESPECIALLY in the last episodes, DOESN'T angst about really anything. When things bother him...he gets over them relatively quickly. I honestly think if someone in his family died, he would mourn for them at the time, but then he would immediately pick himself up and move on with his life.

Davis/Daisuke doesn't like to dwell on anything in the past, whether it was just unfortunate things that happened to him or his own mistakes. He is a very "here and now" kind of guy. He doesn't think or dwell, he just reacts. If something bad happens to him or someone he cares about...he reacts to it. His pure honest geniune feelings. He gives those feelings and reaction a moment in that direct moment, then he goes to move on to the next thing.

While I appreciate the different perspective they were trying to give...(and believe me I do)...I think it could a been a little bit better. But then again, people call me picky XD So what are you gonna do? XD I'm probably just seeing it for how I think it should be rather than what it is? :/ I dunno...

I totally love Taiora and Daikari! Ever since I was a kid :D That has never changed!

Glad you liked this post^^ And thanks for reading and commenting on it, and letting me hear your thoughts on the matter ^^ I love hearing other people's opinions :D
