Well, as I start my third fill more the X-Men First Class kink meme, I should probably just admit that I am in the fandom. I find it weird what I write fics for and what I don't. Obviously I do so for Life on Mars, and I also write unpublished Sherlock and Doctor Who fics (should probably work on making those published). But while I love, love, love Firefly, Angel, and Buffy, but I've never felt any desire to write fics for them. I loved RENT when I was little and I wrote a series of embarrassing fics for them which I will deny are mine until the day I die, but at the same time I also loved Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (Carth <3 You started my attraction to emotionally damaged middle aged men. Thanks?) and I never wrote anything for that fandom.
Good Omens? Don't want to write fic. Iron Man? Want to write fic. Harry Potter? Don't want to write fic. Romeo and Juliet? Working on a fic. The Crucible? Have written a fic. American History? Might have sorta planned out an Anne Hutchinson/John Winthrop/Roger Williams story that' pretty much just a Annie/Sam/Gene fic I used to remember religious schism in early America. Does that count? I also ship John Adams/Abigail Adams with Thomas Jefferson totally looking in from the outside and being kinda jealous and attracted to Abigail but so aware that it will never happen. And in the background, Alexander Hamilton is rubbing his hands together and doing evil matchmaking. (At a certain point, what's the difference between RPF and historical fiction? I'm guessing it's crack and increased gayness.)
My fanfic needs are so variable. Even I don't know what I'm looking for.
x-men first class,
