(no subject)
Ok, quick new entry. I'm almost finished my last Harry Potter book and it's so totally awesome that I don't want to finish it! I'm sure I'll be done tonight but it's making me so anxious that I can barely stand to read more than 5-6 pages before I feel panicky. Why did I stupidly read all those spoilers?? Now I know who's gonna die and it's killing me! GRRRRRRR!!!!
I'm not even going to bother repeating the "unpleasantness" that took place with my mom's new car on Thursday. Needless to say, there was some swearing and yelling.
What else...? Oh, the job is still sort of crappy. I'm getting used to having to actually do work and am becoming proficient in the art of squashing everything I have to do during the day into the last hour and a half so that I can spend the rest of the time gallivanting around the internet, as had become custom in my previous 4 jobs on campus. It has simply taken a while for me to figure out how to maneuver it!
The other thing I did this week was go down to Calgary to visit my sister and the new baby. Unfortunately I was really only there to run interference between my sister and my dad, who was also visiting. I hate doing that. I don't know how but I was in his presence for just over 24 hours and he managed to point out the fact that I'm adopted about 3 times. How weird is that? I don't think he really means anything by it but he seems to have some odd fixation with it. It offends my sister, who is not adopted, quite a bit as she, apparently, never even thinks about the fact that I'm not physically related to her. Oh well, at this point it doesn't really phase me anymore. Meh.
