Not a good sign. One outlet in our livingroom just started sparking and quit passing electricity. There's another one in one of the bedrooms that also quit a while ago.
I have Duke Energy's electrical service contract, I think I'll call them.

Bah. I love my house, but I've known for a long time that wiring problems are going to be a perpetual problem.
