BTW, here's an icon of that bike, feel free to steal it.

I wasn't super impressed with the idea of the flat foot bikes. Yes, it makes it easy to not fall over at stop lights, but it changes the angle at which you pedal. I just found them strange for myself, but if they work for you, then cool!

I've been very happy with the hybrid idea in bikes, which work well for around town use. They are usually some cross between a mountain bike frame and a road bikes tires and gears. That way, you get the upright posture that gives you more visibility and less back strain of a mountain bike, but don't give up all the efficiency of a road bike.

Yeah, it logged everyone out, apparently. I've got a little firefox plugin for LiveJournal that shows me when people post something new and when there are new messages for me, and it said ?? instead of what it normally says, so I noticed it logged me out for no reason.
Such geekiness...

I'll let you know how the Elektra bikes are (I think I'm going to get one). I do know that because of the flat foot thing, you can't stand up and pedal like with traditional bikes, so less power up hills.

I am also sad that I never got to take violin lessons. I had wanted to learn the violin but it wasn't an option at school. But oooh, Nate with a little violin!

So start learning! There's no rule that says you have to be a kid to start learning an instrument!! I was 23 when I started on the pipes (which is rather kid-like from the lofty old age of 35, but...). My mom-in-law was in her 50s when she took up violin. So there.
I know of many pipers who started playing in their 50s, and I know of one man who started when he was 93.
