24 is freaking sweet this season. President Palmer was assassinated in the first few minutes! Damn it, I liked that guy. Jack is on a rampage of slaughter, though, exactly what I like to see.
Kills from 7-11AM:
1 by stabbing
2 by shooting/causing car crash
1 by shooting, while guy was injured and unarmed on the ground (yes! Jack the executioner!)
1 by remote detonation of a suicide vest
2 by shooting during a hostage rescue
Total this season: 7
There are some important questions that I have, though:
How did the terrorists know Jack was alive, and find out who else knew this?
I'm thinking it may have something to do with that president's assistant, unless there is yet another person who has infiltrated CTU...
Why didn't Palmer tell CTU about the terrorist attack at the airport instead of going through the current president's unstable wife? And how did he find out about it in the first place?
I think we're going to find out more about this soon, especially with his brother helping Jack. Palmer probably knew that there was someone in the administration that was in on the plot, and couldn't risk giving them a chance to screw things up. He should have just called Jack.
What about the Chinese embassy thing?
Did this just get swept under the rug for now? I predict that it will come up towards the end, maybe hour 20 or so. Maybe the Chinese are funding or supporting the (Chechen?) militants somehow?
How did that kid follow him to where he appropriated the helicopter?
He's 15, which I don't think enables him to drive there... we probably won't get an answer to this one...
