Darwin, Ebert deserve a round of applause...and that Lincoln guy, too

Too bad the internet isn't so interactive as to let Ebert hear my clapping. I have no doubt that Darwin, who is probably up in heaven, can hear it just fine. *snicker*

primrose sent me this wonderful post by Ebert about Darwin and evolution. He makes some rather interesting observations about the people involved in the fray resulting from his castigation of Ben Stein and Expelled. Don't worry. He's got everyone one of us singled out. (On a side note, the Expelled review ends with one of the best political cartoons I've ever seen.)

After putting everyone into categories, Ebert bullets some of the points which he says he's making over and over. I really enjoyed reading his take on things. It's nice that someone who isn't a scientist doesn't think that science and religion are mutually exclusive, and I am glad he's making these thoughts public.

In the meantime, Happy Birthday to Darwin and Abe Lincoln. There must be something about those Aquarian birthdays.

evolution, religion, science, creationism
